Visa-free travel

Don't worry about visa

Vladivostok government is about to introduce visa-free regime. Starting from January 2016, foreigners will be able to enter Vladivostok without having to obtain a visa in advance and stay in the country for up to 8 days. The visa will be issued at the border. This significant improvement is a consequence of the introduction of a new law on the free port of Vladivostok, which, among other benefits, will make the city a “Porto Franco” again, relieving the resident companies from having to pay import taxes and added value taxes.

According to the law, the new regime will let foreigners not only stay in Vladivostok, but move around the country and leave Russia from a different city.

We at Explore Primorye think it’s a great step forward, since Russia used to be known as a country with a very strict visa policy. Obtaining it is always a nuisance, but from 2016 you can travel to Vladivostok without a visa!
